- Titanic Museum: Surprisingly engaging and very hands-on. Kids can touch an iceberg and feel what it was like on the ship.

At The Apple Barn in Sevierville—just minutes from Pigeon Forge—we started our morning with a plate of warm, cinnamon-sugar goodness. My husband and our two girls couldn’t get enough! Even during the day, Broadway in Nashville has its unique buzz. Music pours out of every honky-tonk. There is an energy that never quite sleeps. One of my favorite moments came at 11 in the morning. Our eldest spotted a full-blown bachelorette party—cowgirl hats, glitter, matching shirts and all. He sweetly observed, “Those ladies are having a lovely time!” . Yes, sweetheart, yes they are… and it’s only brunch.
Pro tip: Broadway gets wild in the evenings—stick to the outskirts or visit early in the day if you want to peek at the scene with kids.

The Peabody Ducks are one of Memphis’s most charming and unexpected attractions, and our daughter couldn’t get enough of them! Sitting by the ornate fountain in the grand lobby of The Peabody Hotel, she watched the ducks paddle around like tiny celebrities. It’s a delightful tradition dating back to the 1930s, and perfect for kids—especially when they get front-row seats to the action. A lighthearted stop that added some serious joy to our Memphis adventure.

After dinner, we walked up Beale Street, full of music, neon lights, and that unmistakable Memphis spirit. It felt like we were living out the lyrics to Walking in Memphis—and honestly, we kind of were.
